They have started bricking
I didnt really like the red brick when my husband picked it but it really looks good now thats its started. Even better is when its finished we have rendered cream quoins which i think will look nice in the end. We have met our neighbour hes a really nice guy, as this is our first time building we are just glad we probably wont get any grief when it comes to sorting out fencing (a friend at work just built and had major issues with his neighbour only over $200!). Our neighbours bricks have been delivered and i think they will look nice next to ours also his gutters and fascias went up and im happy he has really good taste our houses i think will compliment each other.
At the begining of our build we had issues with our slab the concreters poured 40mm in from where it should have been well im happy to say that after many phone calls and emails something was done today the concreters have pinned and repoured, naturally we were not happy about the screw up but finally its started to be sorted and they have provided us full engineering reports (best you can hope for). Hopefully my next rant will have more pictures of bricks on walls!.

Finally RAIN

We wanted it to rain after our slab was poured to see how level it was but being SA the odds were slim well its rained it doesnt look great but its not deep and i have seen alot worse.

We have WINDOWS, not that you can see an awful lot. I can hardly wait for the bricks now its all so real i will have my new house soon YAY. Well we got our building inspectors report back, nothing we didn't already know plus he missed a few things. But atleast our builder knows we are 'difficult and serious' and hopefully we will be getting the more competent contractors assigned to our sight. Our roof tiler has been out to our site he doesn't like the fact we have black tiles so because i wasnt there my husband said it was my idea. Bricks and bags of cement are on site waiting hopefully we will see some more action next week.
